Support & FAQ's

Here we provide online support to many common questions including guides to where you can discover answers to hosting FAQ's.

Cpanel users can download a Step by Step guide that answers most questions relating to set-up and configuration.  Simply right-click on the link below and download the file to your computer.  When the download is complete, select the OPEN button and the guide will pop-up on your screen.  Cpanel Guide

Alternately, take a look through these FAQs with answers to the most commonly asked questions.  However if your answer cannot be found send a Support Request.

The most common questions:

  • I cannot send or receive email?

Email problems can be very frustrating, so we have created Email Answers, an entire section to answer all your email problems.

  • How do I upload files to my web space?

While there are many ways of connecting to your hosting space on our servers, the two most common methods are File Manager and FTP Software.

1. File Manager - Login to your hosting control panel [cPanel] and access via the File Manager icon.  Web site files are located in a folder named public_html.

2. FTP Software - There are many File Transfer Protocol software programs available in both free and paid versions.  The software enables you to login to your hosting web space and view your computer files in one window, while viewing the files on the server in another window.  Using arrows to upload and download files quickly and easily.  We make available a free version of WS_FTP LE on our Software download page.

    • My web site is down?  The dreaded 404! What's wrong?

The first step to enlightenment is to discover the actual cause of why you cannot see your web site.  It is very rare for our servers to be down or off-line for more than a few minutes, even during upgrades and backups.  Generally speaking, service interuptions are caused somewhere in the 12,000 connection points between your computer and our server.  Click on Service Status to view our hosting network.

In most instances wait a few minutes, refresh your screen and your web site will appear. Try calling a freind and asking them whether they can see your web site.  Note whether they use the same ISP (Bigpond, Optus) as often, the cause is one ISP.

If you continue to receive email but cannot see your web site this suggests a local issue, so try rebooting your computer.

Another way of checking is to try viewing your web site through anybrowser.com.  Type in your web site address and View Page.  The service bypasses your ISP and connects to your web site directly.  If you can see some or all of your web site then it is a connection problem and not our server.

If you cannot see your files, and see a blank graphic next to your server on our status page then call and we will take a look... +61-3-9442-4348.

    • What Hosting Server am I on?

Good question!  Your web site could be on any of our eight servers, so run a Whois Report for your domain name to view information including your host server.   Type in your domain name (without http://www.)

Australian Domain Name [.com.au] | International Domain Name [.com]
